Nike Air Force XXV Low Player Exclusive Team USA Basketball

Over the course of it illustrious 25 year history, the Nike Air Force 1 Low has played canvas to some of the most impressive and most sought after Player/Entertainer/Event/etc. exclusives ever created. With the Nike Air Force XXV Low set to release soon, we can only assume that the 25 year anniversary low will follow suit. Though the Nike Air Force XXV low has yet to officially release, the style is set to release later this fall, PE styles of the sneaker have been created and distributed. Team USA, competing now in the FIBA championships and in next year's Olympics, has received their own "Team USA Basketball" Nike Air Force XXV Low PE. The "Team USA" XXV Lows feature a Red/White/Blue Patent upper with an American Flag on the tongue and the USA Baksetball logo on the insole.

Air Jordan Classic 87

If you thought ‘07 was an important year to the Air Force Ones, what do you think next year means to the Air Jordans?! The Air Jordan line will celebrate 23 years in 2008 and will handle sneaker releases like never before.

Probably by now you know about the “23 Packages” that release once a month in every month next year except for February. With those being as limited as the DMP packages and creating lineups similar to iPhone lineups, alot of heads are going to have to get their Jumpman fix from other sources.

Something that I do admire Jordan Brand for doing next year is taking inspiration from Jordan models to create new shoes rather than taking a classics and modifying it. This model has similar lines as the Air Jordan 2 low (the shoe won the Slam Dunk contest in) but added elephant print resembles the Air Jordan 3. The second pair is a classic black patent leather with a simple, clean look. Look for both of these to release in February 9th for $105.

Nike LeBron V Media Summit Part III: White/Navy Nike Zoom LeBron V

Similar to the Nike Zoom LeBron III and the Nike Zoom LeBron IV, Nike is set to both release and not publicly release (a la the "Fruity Pebbles", "Dunkman", etc.) several colorways of the Nike Zoom LeBron V. According to LeBron and designer Ken Link, the King and Link have several tricks up their sleeves planned for the LeBron V. To kick off the publicly released Nike Zoom LeBron Vs, Nike is set to release the "White/Navy" Nike Zoom LeBron V. The "White/Navy" Nike Zoom LeBron V features a White upper with a Navy Patent toe cap and a Navy Patent "milk crate" inspired midfoot strap. To accent the lines of the ZLV, the "White/Navy" ZLV features Navy piping with Gold accents around the eyelets and the strap buckle. The "White/Navy" Nike Zoom LeBron V is set to release this Fall.

Nike LeBron V Media Summit Part II: An In Depth Look at the China Nike Zoom LeBron V

Building off of last years successful regionally limited "China" Nike Zoom LeBron IV, Nike is set to release their follow up ode to the booming Basketball Country with the "China" Nike Zoom LeBron V. Although last year's "China" embodied the country though it's colorway and packaging, this year's "China" not only features the "China" Red/White colorway, but also, very intricate traditional Chinese stylized lasering. The "China" ZLVs feature a Chinese Dragon lasered on the toebox and an intricate Chinese landscape, which includes the Great Wall of China, lasered throughout the heel. For those who prefer a strapless look, the "China" Nike Zoom LeBron V, as is the case with the entire ZLV line, features a lasered removable strap giving the sneaker a different aesthetic when removed. As of the time of this post, the "China" Nike Zoom LeBron V is scheduled to release as a CHINA EXCLUSIVE.

Nike Black Reflective Croc Air Max 90

Here’s an upcoming look at a new Air Max 90 from Nike. The black leather upper features a subtle synthetic reflective croc pattern along the mudguard. A nice characteristic that contributes very well to the overall aesthetic of the sneaker. No word yet on a release date.

Sole Collector x Pony Classic BB Low & City Wings Hi

Pony gave an opportunity to some members from the Sole Collector to each customize a pair of Pony sneakers. The end result was a Classic BB Low by Steve & Ndp while Retrokid chose the City Wings Hi. Ndp went about things by creating a sneaker inspired by the Nike Presto with extensive use of mesh along the toebox and lining. He also had a signature created into a heel embroidery.

The creator of Sole Collector Steve chose a classic black/red colorway with full grain pebble leather and a Nike Terminator style logo on the heels.

Retrokid utilized his fondness of multiple color/material sneakers (example) to mastermind this brightly colored City Wings Hi complete with his personal tag on the heel.

Nike Air Huarache x Classic BW Hybrid

The latest from Nike’s growing list of hybrids include this Air Huarache x Classic BW sneaker. The sneaker utilizes the signature minimalist upper and heel support from the Air Huarache. The midsole and sole are derived from another classic, the Classic BW. The predominately white/gray upper is highlighted by a bright pink heel counter. No word yet on a release date.

Nike SB Strummer Guitar Dunk Low

Allegedly set to release this Fall, Nike SB has cooked up this Strummer Guitar Dunk Low. Based on the 1966 Fender Telecaster of The Clash frontman Joe Strummer, this Dunk attempts to capture the same vintage look that Joe Strummer’s guitar. The guitar was acquired sometime in the mid-1970’s (~1976) and was used all the way until Strummer’s untimely death in 2002. Here’s a site documenting a custom re-make of Strummer’s guitar. Fender also released a licensed remake of Strummer’s guitar as well with the design left to the hands of Shepard Fairey of Obey.

What the Dunk - SB Concept Leaks from Fakes?

‘Obviously a made up sneaker but funny as hell… I gotta hand it to the bootlegers, nice concept…’

We actually have heard somewhat of a confirmation of this sneaker actually existing, the one in the picture are a proof of concept most likely to have come from sample espionage. What we are hearing rumored around is they will be a Holiday 2007 release.

So it’s looking like these mashup fakes are actually gonna come to fruition, wouldn’t be the first time fakes appeared before actual real samples (ex. C&K dunks).

Nike LeBron V Media Summit Part I: Foot Locker Exclusive Nike Zoom LeBron V

This week Nike and LeBron James kicked off the official unveiling of their upcoming Nike Zoom LeBron V at the Nike LeBron V Media Summit in Las Vegas. In contrast to last year's larger and heavier ZLIV, the ZLV is a lightweight yet durable and protective combination of LeBron's favorite two sneakers from the Zoom LeBron line, the Zoom LeBron III and the 20.5.5. In addition to a number of technological aspects that are built into the sneaker to provide maximum comfort, traction, protection, etc., the ZLV features a number of detailed aesthetic aspects including the LeBron Lion on the tongue, embroidered positive words under the midfoot strap, a map of Akron, Ohio behind the tongue and on the sole, a "V" on the outer heel, a Gold "LBJ23" at the end of the midfoot strap, and much more.

To start our coverage of the Nike LeBron V Media Summit we take a close look at the upcoming Foot Locker Exclusive Nike Zoom LeBron V. The "FTL" ZLV features a White upper with Varsity Crimson accents and a Cream, almost Gum like, outsole. The "FTL" Nike Zoom LeBron V is scheduled to drop later this year at Foot Locker.
