Overclocking is a hobby of mine, and whenever I get a new processor, I overclock the piss out of it just to see how far it will push. Unfortunately, my older AMD Athlon 64 3800+ with a stock speed of 2.4Ghz could only reach 2.94Ghz fully maxed, and even that presented a BSOD after a few minutes. But my new 3700+, with a stock speed of 2.2 Ghz, managed to crank out 3044Mhz and not BSOD.
I’m assuming if I had left it at 3000Mhz and stress tested it at 1.55v, it should have been fine for an extended amount of time, but I didn’t wanna damage it. Enjoy the video, because another one isn’t coming anytime soon. I hit my goal, and my CPU doesn’t need any more pain :).
